★VIDEO★ OLBIA. The 2024 edition of Italian Championship for Beginners B A2 it was a success both in terms of participation and emotions. Over 500 athletes competed on the tatami of the Geovillage in Olbia during the weekend.
The event, organized by ASD Olbia Judo Sports Centerwith the patronage ofRegional Tourism DepartmentCommerce and Crafts and of Municipality of Olbiasaw the triumph of Sardinian Judo with numerous medals won.
The organisation, much appreciated by the participants, attracted over 900 people to the city including athletes, technicians, companions and a large audience who filled the stands of the Geovillage. At the Palazzetto dello Sport in Olbia, around 500 athletes competed for the titles in the various categories. The 256 participating companies, coming from all over Italy, were accompanied by 250 technicians. This large participation highlights the growing importance that Sardinia has acquired in the national and international judo panorama.
“I am very happy with the great participation in this 2024 Italian B A2 Beginners Championship, which we had the satisfaction of being able to organize. This is a strong signal that bodes well for the future – he declares Efisio Mele, president of the ASD Centro Sportivo Olbia Judo -. For us it is rewarding and pushes us to work better and better. This event had an excellent attendance record. I thank all our collaborators, the municipal administration of Olbia, which has always believed in this sport, and the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, which for several years has supported us in organizing judo events at a national and international level”.
