Success at the XVII Venados Cup 2024: Badminton Tournament Excels at UAEM Sports Center

Last weekend, sports center 1 of the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEM) hosted the XVII Venados Cup 2024, where the badminton discipline was hosted. Expectations were far exceeded since there was great organization, in addition to a large participation of athletes.

It should be noted that, in the tournament of this discipline, there was participation of athletes from Mexico City, State of Mexico and of course the best exponents from the state of Morelos.

The tournament was held in various categories, where from the beginning the great progress of the Venado contingent was observed both in the men’s branch and in the women’s branch and in that sense after several matches, the athletes Leomar Maranan, Miguel Rodríguez and Marcos Cárdenas rose to the podium and thus obtain the respective victory of the Venados Cup in the men’s branch. For their part, Daniela Olascoaga, Dayana Orihuela and Ana Nazario climbed to the podium and thus obtained victory in the women’s branch.

Likewise, the winners of the other categories to complete the winners’ circle were: men’s free category, Antonio Ocegueda, Axel Rogel and Julio del Valle; women’s free category, Diana Rivadeneyra; men’s sub13-15 category, Iván Barrera and Santiago Ramírez; women’s sub13-15 category, Isabela Jacobo, Rebeca Gómez and Diana Téllez; men’s sub17-19 category, Emiliano Carrera, Félix Aguilar and Ángel Curiel;

Women’s sub17-19 category, Regina Gómez, Luna Mazón and Sofia Ruiz.

Finally, after the competition, the respective recognitions were presented by Professor Estafano López Millán, in charge of the Badminton discipline at the UAEM, who has been satisfactorily developing the performance of the Venada delegation within the discipline, in addition that the workshop has had exponential progress and growth, which little by little has borne fruit in the National Universiade process.
