The Sillé Archers club experienced an event day this Saturday, May 25, during the first Beginner Archers criterium organized by the Sarthe Departmental Archery Committee, at the Arcs du Maine club.
More than 50 archers out of 94 listed, all age categories combined, participated; Concerning the Silléen club, only three archers out of 12 had dared to take the step between leisure and competition, after having passed the qualifying events.
The results
In women’s recurve arch, Zoé Spitaëls ranked second, one point behind first. In senior 1 men, Alexandre Spitaëls also took 2nd place.
In the men’s barebow category, Nicolas Bellanger placed 4th.
Other results
Sunday May 26, in Laigné-en-Belin. In recurve arch: Ladislas Denis (U15) is first over the two distances of 30 and 40 m. Over the 50 m distance, in U18, Romain Beauclair is first, beating his personal best. In senior 1 Dylan Geslin is first. In senior 2 Joan Geslin is second.
In senior compound 2, Sylvain Bodereau finished 2nd.
In men’s bare arch, distance 50 m, in the morning, Laurent Carlin is 2nd and Nicolas Denis 3rd; in the afternoon, Laurent is 1st, Nicolas 2nd.
Still in the ladies category, 50m shooting Nathalie Bécu is first, 2nd and Dominique Cochet second, improving her personal best by more than 70 points.
Finally, in barebow, the mixed team composed of Laurent Carlin, Nicolas Denis, Nathalie Bécu and Dominique Cochet wins the team challenge.
Next week, the Silléen club will compete in Alençon.
