Tennis professional Henri Squire will certainly have fond memories of his first main draw at a Grand Slam tournament.
Tennis player Henri Squire (23) caused a surprise in his first match on the Grand Slam stage. The Düsseldorf native won his wild first-round duel at the French Open with Australian Max Purcell after 3:21 hours of play and two longer rain breaks with 6:2, 6:2, 3:6, 4:6, 7:6 (12:10).
The world number 221, who fought his way into the main draw of the clay classic in Paris for the first time via qualifying, will face the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, seeded 21st, in the next round.
