“Tony Estanguet, Marie-José Pérec, Thierry Rey, Iliana Rupert, Marie Patouillet, Nélia Barbosa, Alexis Hanquiquant, Christine Caron and Brahim Asloum will surround Arnaud Assoumani (Paralympic Champion in Para Athletics) who will carry the Olympic flame on the red carpet,” announced the organizers of the world-famous event in Cannes.
The flame trail resumes in Dordogne this Wednesday
A new documentary called Olympics! – France has Games, by Mickaël Gamrasni, will be screened for the occasion, this Tuesday, at the Cannes Film Festival. “In this film, produced by France Télévisions, three generations of French athletes are brought together for the first time and reveal why France has a very particular history with the Games”describes the Festival press release.
The usual route of the flame will resume this Wednesday in the Dordogne, then the Bordeaux region this Thursday before continuing the adventure further north.
