TSV Hartberg Prepares for Major Changes in Squad After European Cup Playoff

TSV Hartberg will fight at home on Tuesday (from 7 p.m. in the LIVE ticker >>>) in the European Cup playoff against Vienna Austria for the last ticket to international business.

In the coming season, however, there will be some changes in the Styrian squad – due to the good season under coach Markus Schopp.

According to information from the “Kronen Zeitung”, TSV is already targeting a new signing: André Leopold from the cooperation club Lafnitz is said to be the focus of Hartberg, the German scored 13 goals in the ADMIRAL 2nd League this year. Rapid is also said to be interested in the 22-year-old.

It is certain that Hartberg has recalled goalkeeper Elias Scherf from Amstetten as a second keeper.

In addition, the Styrian team will lose some of its mainstays. The contracts of Mario Kröpfl, Manfred Gollner, Fabian Ehmann, Tobias Knoflach and Onurhan Babuscu are expiring, and Thomas Rotter will remain in the club in another role (possibly in the amateur team).

Regular players about to leave?

Ousmané Diakité, Mamadou Sangaré and Ibane Bowat are also only tied to the club until the end of June, but TSV Hartberg assumes that the players will receive offers that lie outside the club’s spheres.

Max Entrup, Manuel Pfeifer, Donis Avdijaj and Dominik Frieser still have valid contracts but are still attracting interest from the competition. While LASK is showing interest in Entrup, Sturm Graz has its eye on Pfeifer. Frieser, on the other hand, is reportedly highly regarded by GAK.
