From Norma Jeane to Marylin, a family album

To complete the visit you can, on site, obtain the album signed David Lawrence which presents readers with the main characters in Norma Jeane’s journey and that of Marilyn Monroe, her curiosity, her fondness for Anglo-Saxon and French literature, his passion for the most diverse painters such as Vincent Van Gogh, for Auguste Rodin, poets such as Walt Whitman. His friendships with Norman Rosten, Karen Blixen and the insolent Truman Capote. Joe Di Maggio and the hope of true love: Arthur Miller.

“The emotion is dense, palpable. By moving forward, step by step, we move away from lies and clichés to get closer to the truth. If the title evokes the impenetrable, there is indeed a secret to be clarified before leaving this luxurious album. Not the mystery of his disappearance, but the essence of his being.”

Pour David Lawrence, “losing Marilyn Monroe is losing an ally of words. Official support for those left behind in American society. Listening to those, exiled for their various commitments, in an America fiercely opposed to communism and all its forms. Losing Marilyn Monroe means losing the official support of this African-American community, whose basic rights are despised. Marilyn loved the other. Without naivety…”
