Vincent Euvrard Leaves Zulte Waregem for Head Coach Role at Dender in Jupiler Pro League

Vincent Euvrard has exchanged Zulte Waregem for a job as head coach at Dender, which has just been promoted to the Jupiler Pro League. “I immediately had a good feeling about it,” says Euvrard.

Vincent Euvrard started the season at RWDM, but was pushed aside before the first match.

At Zulte Waregem he was instructed to do what he had previously done with the Brussels club: promote to the Jupiler Pro League.

That didn’t work out in the end. Zulte Waregem was eliminated by Lommel in the semi-finals of the play-offs. A new season in the Challenger Pro League beckoned.

But Euvrard himself is taking the step to the highest level, because he is leaving Essevee for a job as T1 at Dender, where Timmy Simons recently left for Westerlo.

“I immediately had a good feeling after the first conversation,” says Euvrard. “How the club went almost silently from third to first division really appealed to me.”

“I can also reflect on the norms, values and future vision of the club.” Sporting director Julien Gorius calls Euvrard “a coach with modern ideas and philosophy.”

In the meantime, they are not giving up at Zulte Waregem. “We have analyzed the season in recent weeks and are busy drawing up future plans. There are currently advanced discussions about who will be in charge of the sporting team at Essevee in the coming season.”
