The Hautes Pyrénées Departmental Golf Committee has awarded its 2024 titles of Departmental Champion(s) of golf schools and Inter-Golf Schools.
After 4 first stages on the golf courses of Lannemezan, Bigorre, Hippodrome and Tarbes-Tumulus, the final Tour was held on the golf courses of Tarbes-Tumulus and L’Hippodrome this last Wednesday June 12 under perfect playing conditions.
It was a real pleasure to see all the young people motivated for the competition, the desire to get together and compete with the young people from other clubs.
A lot of complicity and friendship have been formed through the practice of golf between young girls and young boys from the different clubs of the 65 since the origin of these Championships.
Everything went well under the direction of the parties led by Damien Manceau and Stéphane Chiboust, teachers at the Tumulus and Hippodrome golf courses.
During the presentation of the Trophies, Yves Ribaut, president of the departmental committee, warmly congratulated the numerous young people for their performances and their enthusiastic participation and thanked the parents and volunteers accompanying the games.
He thanked the Golf des Tumulus and its director Yves de Ginestet for his warm and generous welcome at the final prize giving ceremony, the golf clubs which for over 20 years have welcomed young people from golf schools free of charge on their courses, the sports associations golf course of 65 and the professional educators Damien Manceau, Stéphane Chiboust and Cédric Gayraud who take turns organizing this championship in their respective clubs, the Youth leaders of the departmental committee, André Alas and Jacques Féresin for their supervision throughout this year and without forgetting the partners of the departmental golf committee The Hautes-Pyrénées Departmental Council, Crédit Agricole Pyrénées Gascogne and Sport 2000 Pouzac-Capvern.
