The night of choices has arrived: on Thursday 27 June, at 2:00 in the Italian night (so in the United States it will still be Thursday), the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, will return to host the draft NBA 2024. The big news this year is that the event will take place in two days: some franchises had in fact complained about the limited time available to make calls in the second round (there is a wait of five to two minutes between one choice and another), consequently the first round (up to the thirtieth choice) will be tonight while for the second we will have to wait until tomorrow, this technically changes little compared to the most anticipated names but in reality it could be important.
First, because more often than not some players called in the second round turn out to be great shots (the famous “steals of the draft”), due to the GM’s foresight or simple “luck”; second because, referring to the live broadcast of the 2024 NBA draft, this year in the second round he might be called Bronny JamesLeBron’s son who clearly brings hype on his own and, despite not having exact numbers, could be selected by the Los Angeles Lakers or by whoever intends to put his father under contract, given that LeBron himself has repeatedly declared that at least for one year he would like to share the field and tank top with his son.

In second place, and therefore in Washington, that’s it Alexandre Sarr who as a physicist could be reminiscent of Wembanyama.
Sarr went to play in Australia, and could create a French duo in the first two overall picks of the NBA draft. Then, we will also see with respect to the needs of the franchises: between the third and fifth choices (Houston, San Antonio and Detroit) Reed Sheppard is indicated, Stephon Castle (NCAA champion with Connecticut, who the Spurs might want to form an axis with the outgoing rookie of the year) and Matas Buzelis. As always, the analyzes will then have to leave room for the field: with hindsight everyone can clearly praise or criticize, often the NBA draft is the result of a long-term vision and, as already mentioned, a dose of good luck that never hurts .
