The Lakers will try to modify their squad in the days to come, at least if Rob Pelinka rolls up his sleeves. And for a journalist, the perfect summer exists with 4 market moves to make.
Still beaten by the Nuggets in the playoffs, the Lakers will return in a few months with a new coach, but still the ambition of winning the ring. However, for the supporters, change in the squad is necessary in order to reverse the trend. Rob Pelinka is precisely in an ideal position to improve this roster.
With D’Angelo Russell activating his player option for 2025, his contract immediately becomes a major asset to include in a potential trade. Why not use it in a sign-and-trade against Klay Thompson? We can also mention LeBron James’ financial sacrificewilling to turn down more than $15 million to help his team… at least if the front office finds a player.

Quite a few interesting ideas here, even if some aren’t fans of Valanciunas, who was far from convincing anyone last year. This tweet at least has the merit of shaking up the Lakers’ roster, which really needs it before the restart.
The Lakers’ perfect summer? Perhaps Sam Quinn has found it, even if fans don’t necessarily agree. Whatever happens, Rob Pelinka has to take action to improve this roster. And he can’t afford to make any mistakes.
