Dynamism and records at the Plaimpied-Givaudins badminton club. To continue this momentum, volunteers are expected to train young people.

For this seventh season, Plaimpied-Givaudins badminton (PGBaD) can congratulate itself on having once again established records. Gathered last weekend in a general assembly, the club

with more than eighty-two members, is the fourth in Cher in terms of number of members.

The third edition of Bad in Plaimpied (BiP), with more than 130 players from 38 clubs and a new title in D2, new play-offs in D3 allowed it to experience great success.

Young people aged 8 to 16

In addition to this, throughout the season, the club participated in numerous competitions whether local, regional or national.

Like the club, the badminton school continues to be structured by welcoming young people aged 8 to 16. Faced with this expansion, it is hoped that volunteers will come to train them.

“I am proud of the progress we have made and confident in our ability to continue our growth in the coming seasons, even if inflation and rising prices will force us to make difficult choices,” confided President Christophe Lemerle.

Note the 10% increase in the number of members for this season with 26 children and 56 adults (leisure players and competitors) coming from all neighboring towns in addition to Plaimpied.

Among the projects, it will be necessary to improve supervision, organize the fourth edition of the BiP, train a competition manager and organizer, a referee and a coach. Rewards were awarded to two deserving volunteers, Laurence and Denis Fourrichon, as well as five interclub team captains for their results.

The Departmental 2 champion cup was given to Captain Ming.
