The Adra Basketball Sports Club offers a new edition of its Summer School. It will be the ninth in an initiative to help reconcile work and family during the summer months. In parallel, the Technique School is offered for those who want to focus on perfecting their basketball technique. In both cases, the registration period remains open. They will officially start on June 24 and will run until September 5, in the first case, and until August 16 in the second.
Integrated into the Municipal Sports Schools, the club specializes in initiation and improvement of basketball for children and young people. The Summer School is aimed at children between three and 15 years old. It will take place from Monday to Friday at the Municipal Sports Pavilion, between nine in the morning and two in the afternoon. Activities are also scheduled on Sirena Loca beach, just a few meters away. Optionally, morning classes are offered from eight to nine in the morning. The groups are divided by age and the rates vary depending on the weeks contracted and the number of siblings registered.
On the other hand, the Technical School is run by the senior basketball coach Leo Vico. Participants can choose between two or four hours of training daily. It will take place between half past nine in the morning and half past one at noon. It is designed to improve individual technique and team play. Both schools have the collaboration of the Sports area of the Adra City Council.
The CD Baloncesto de Adra officially closed the basketball season last Sunday with a gala held at the Municipal Sports Pavilion. The event was attended by players of all categories and their families. Likewise, it was attended by the mayor of Adra, Manuel Cortés, and the Councilor for Sports, Juan Antonio Fernández.
