Ajax has won the battle for sixteen-year-old Jorthy Mokio, it writes Football International. The young defender is as good as finalized with the Amsterdam team and has indicated that he would like to go to the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
By bringing in Mokio, Ajax trumps PSV, among others. The people of Eindhoven also wanted to strengthen themselves with the talent, but they missed out. It was revealed on Saturday that FC Barcelona, which was also interested, had to drop out due to financial reasons.

The sixteen-year-old central defender already made an appearance in the first team of KAA Gent last season. That club was eager to continue with him, but was unsuccessful in its attempts to keep him out of the hands of other clubs.
