Alexander Zverev is slowly gaining momentum as No. 2 in the tournament at the ATP Halle. After his hard-fought opening victory against Oscar Otte from Cologne, the 27-year-old was able to prevail against the Italian Lorenzo Sonego in two sets. The world number 4 would like to kill two birds with one stone: his first tournament victory in Halle, combined with his first title on grass.
The German Olympic champion has good memories of his opponent today. In his hometown of Hamburg last year, he defeated the Frenchman in straight sets in the semifinals of his triumph at the ATP 500 tournament.
