BARCELONA.- As previously announced, today the participation of Algodoneros de Guasave in the quadrangular Barcelona Baseball Cup was confirmed, which will be held from September 25 to 29, within the framework of the Catalan Sports Week. which is celebrated in this Spanish city.
Once Algodoneros takes the field, it will become the first professional baseball team in the world to play in the so-called Motherland.
The confirmation of this fair was made within a press conference, led by Alfredo Arámburo Najar, president and Luis Fernando García, general director, of Algodoneros, as well as Éric Salas, as host, and Jordi Valles, of the Catalan Baseball Federation.

Apart from Algodoneros, the other teams confirmed with the All Star Spain and the Catalan Baseball Team, in addition to one more team that is to be confirmed shortly, so that the home run is ready.
Within the event there will be a series of diverse activities, including baseball clinics for children, which will be taught by Algodoneros coaches.
In his speech, the executive president of Algodoneros, Alfredo Arámburo Najar, spoke about the importance of participating in this event for the organization he heads.

Algodoneros will be the first professional team in the world to play in Spain.

“Barcelona will become the second home of Algodoneros, because we will be the pioneer team to play here, but hopefully more organizations will come to get involved in this project, so that we have already taken the first step to consolidate it; We hope that each year it will be carried out and as I said, that this will be the beginning so that later many more teams will join in,” said Alfredo Arámburo.
Regarding the organizing committee, Jordi Valles, explained something about the general panorama of what will be in the Catalan Sports Week.
“One of the objectives we have is that every day of the event there is a real party, so apart from the games, we will have alternative activities such as musical concerts, as well as a play area for children to spend pleasant moments,” said Valles. .
