That Alimerka Oviedo Baloncesto continues in continuous progression and every year takes small steps that bring it closer to the dream of, one day, being in the ACB is a reality. The team from Oviedo, which has just completed only 20 years of history, has become one of the legendary teams of the LEB Oro and little by little it continues to advance in its quarry to be able to draw on Asturian players.
Good proof of this is the good performance of their teams both in the Principality of Asturias and in the Spanish Championship that has been held these days in Betanzos (Galicia). The children’s team led by Pelayo Fuentes managed to win two of their three games (Atlético San Sebastián from the Basque Country and La Salle from Melilla), and only a very tight defeat against Obradoiro prevented them from going to the knockout round.
