Alleged CJNG operator arrested in Mexico City – El Sol de México

The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Christian N, alias “El Harry”, who allegedly sought to form a cell of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) in Mexico City.

To this end, according to authorities, she sought out Jazmín Amairani N, alias “La Chaparra,” possibly related to a criminal group in the Morelos neighborhood and who was arrested on June 14.

The Prosecutor’s Office specified that “El Harry” intended to distribute narcotics in areas not controlled by the CJNG, in addition to allegedly being responsible for hacking various banking systems with the support of criminal cells made up of South American citizens.

Investigations establish that “El Harry” probably has five criminal cells dedicated to extracting cash from ATMs, as well as account holder identity cloning activities and mirror operations; the latter, through cash transfers outside the banking system, said Ulises Lara, office manager of the Prosecutor’s Office.

“These criminal cells probably have technological equipment and programming that would allow them to hack previously analyzed ATMs,” he added.

The arrest occurred after a search of two homes located in the Álvaro Obregón and Miguel Hidalgo municipalities, where they also found drugs, weapons, high-end vehicles, telephone equipment, bank cards and computer equipment.
