And now I have managed to give value to the things I do. It is important to be demanding, but also value the results,” declared the Galician in an interview with this newspaper last year. «After being third in the Games it was difficult to maintain the sporting tension. It’s that ‘what now?’ I started doing things that fulfilled me outside of athletics, on television, in advertising, and I asked myself if it was worth it to push myself and give my all for athletics. Mohamed Attaoui was the representative of the trio of national athletes who stood on the podium in the 800 meters final.
