Andy Murray He can boast of having a great relationship with a good part of the young players on the circuit. The Scot starred in a training set against Carlos Alcaraz just a couple of days ago and, after debuting with victory in the ATP Queen’s 2024, was asked about his feelings when facing the Murcian and what it meant for him to be able to face him. The Briton’s response is priceless and he shows his admiration for what the Spaniard is achieving.
“I really wanted to train with him, because I love watching him play. He is one of my favorite players and one of the best players in the world, so I wanted to measure myself against him, see how he combines my game against his game, how he handles himself on the court. It’s great for me to be able to measure myself against players of the new generation and see what they do better, worse or differently than the guys I have faced my entire career, Roger, Rafa or Novak. I was also able to train against Sinner at the Australian Open, too. “I enjoyed it and played very well in that training session.”
And this is what Murray said about Alcaraz.
