Annual Tennis Tournament in Port-Sainte-Marie Kicks Off with Exciting New Format and Prizes

the essentials Until July 14, the tennis courts of Port-Sainte-Marie will be the scene of a fierce tournament.

The entire team of the Port-Sainte-Marie Tennis Club, its volunteers, its office and its well-known president Thibaut Tisserat gave this Wednesday, at the Saint-Clair space, the start of the club’s canceled tournament. It will end with fireworks on July 14. It is a rich and dense tournament since it has a Men’s and Ladies’ Singles table limited to 2/6, Gentlemen and Ladies +35 years and SH + 45 years, all limited to 15/1 and in the classic 1 format. Men’s, Women’s and mixed doubles in format 4 (super tie-break in the third set) are also scheduled.

The management also wants to honor youth with a parallel Youth tournament (12/12, 13/14, 15/16, 17/18 years old). All the matches take place on the three outdoor porous concrete courts and on the bucolic artificial earth of the complex. The total prize money amounts to 1,100 euros in total with cash up to the senior M/F finalist (200 € for the two senior winners, 120 € for the finalists, and 75 € in the quarter-finals). The other winners will not be left out with prizes in kind, gift baskets, and Dunlop tennis items.

The tournament, which last year welcomed 140 participants, this year aims for between 150 and 160 players. JAT2 Thibaut Tisserat and the entire tournament volunteer team are waiting for you to register and participate in the finals party which will take place on Sunday July 14. Catering and refreshments as well as conviviality and a warm welcome will be required at this family club in Port-Sainte-Marie.
