The XVII ‘Ciudad de Torrelavega’ Love Letter Competition already has a winner. According to the Councillor for Culture and Education, Esther Vélez, Aránzazu Fonfría, from Villariezo (Burgos), has emerged the winner of this competition with her letter with the motto ‘Entrelazamiento, la receta de la felicidad’.
Vélez has highlighted the “quality” of the 202 works submitted to this edition and has recalled that the prize consists of 1,000 euros. In addition, he indicated, the City Council may publish the winning letter or use its text in any cultural programme or recreational event it wishes without the author having any rights over these editions.
The Culture Minister has expressed her “satisfaction” with the reception that this competition has had once again this year, which has among its objectives “to promote writing” through the theme of love or heartbreak.
