Intense weekend in the world of archery in the region, in fact in the town of Cinquefrondi the local sports club assigned by the regional committee organized the 2024 regional championship on Sunday 23 June. At the sporting event the club Archers Club Lido, under the guidance of coach Edoardo Poerio Pierà, brought 5 athletes to the shooting line who at the end of the competition took home two overall and three individual titles. In the men’s Olympic the overall title of the specialty goes to Francesco Poerio Pierà who also takes home the gold in the junior competition class, same script in the compound where Anastasia Poerio Pierà wins the overall and wins the gold in her competition class.
Gold also for the very young Fabio Ludovica in the compound division Girls class, followed by the individual bronze of Poerio Piterà Edoardo surprisingly in the Olympic master division target being the same archers mainly barebow. Valentino Serafino asks at the foot of the podium with an excellent 4th place. The team had technical support during the trip from Gulia Sabrina, while among the companions Sgotto Maurizio and Sgotto Sofia cheered the team during the competition phases.
Mister Poerio Piterà Edoardo was satisfied with the boys’ performance: “despite his school commitments, being busy with final exams, he found the time necessary to carry out a few but intense training sessions, the same can be said for the young Anastasia Poerio Pierà and Fabio Ludovica. The kids had fun despite the heat supported by our capable chaperones, whom I thank for the availability always shown. On the occasion of the regional championship we had our new members Maurizio and Sofia Sgotto as supporters with the hope of seeing them soon also involved in a sporting competition”.
