Archery Takes Center Stage in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges with Roy Dom Challenge

Archery is in the spotlight in the Deodatian city on this first weekend of summer. The Première Compagnie d’Arc de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges is organizing its Roy Dom challenge, which takes place this Saturday and Sunday near the Emile-Jeanpierre stadium.

24 clubs from the Grand-Est and beyond responded to this annual challenge, which totals 90 starts in 19 categories. Saturday was a departmental qualifying tournament for the French championships, in the different female categories Recurve, Compound, Chicks, Juniors, Seniors, Veterans, Recurve and Compound on targets at distances of 20, 30, 40, 60 and 70 meters. This last distance being the Olympic distance.

Sunday will be devoted to the TAE 2024 individual shooting championship on targets, over distances of 20 to 70 meters, Recurve bow and Compound bow. Outdoor Archery – TAE – is a name which brings together 2 disciplines: “Exterior Archery, international discipline” and “Exterior Archery, national discipline”. TAE is generally practiced from the beginning of spring until the end of summer.
