Argentine Judo Team Training Camp Kicks Off with 60 Cadet Athletes

With the presence of 60 athletes from the Cadet category (15 to 17 years old), the training camp of the Argentine Judo Team began yesterday at CePARD. The physical and technical preparation exercises take place in double shifts until Sunday.

Olympic medalist Paula Pareto heads the coaching staff that is in charge of training, along with Gastón Sanzeri, Oritia González and Ayelén Elizeche. This concentration is part of the High Performance Development Program (DAR) that ENARD promotes together with the Argentine Judo Confederation (CAJ).

Convened by the national technical body and coming from 16 provinces, the large group of judokas prepare on two tatami mats deployed in the main sports center of CePARD, in Posadas. Tomorrow, Saturday, after the first training session, they will participate in the Judo Schools Meeting, an activity scheduled in commemoration of Olympic Day, which is celebrated every June 23. It will be from 11:15 to 12:15, aimed at federated judokas from 8 to 14 years old.

On the list of those called up there are three judokas from Misiones: Constanza Núñez, Andrea Colque and Brian Zevallos. The list is completed with federative representatives from Córdoba, Santa Fe, Metropolitana, Tucumán, Neuquén, Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Santiago del Estero, Chaco, Río Negro, Santa Cruz, Mendoza, Formosa, Tierra del Fuego, La Rioja and Entre Ríos .

This training camp in Misiones is based on the availability of quality sports infrastructure and organizational capacity, plus the value of teamwork between the Argentine Judo Confederation, the National High Performance Sports Entity (ENARD), the Missionary Federation of Judo, the Municipality of Posadas and the Ministry of Sports of the province, sectors that intervene in the organization.
