Arrested in Viterbo: Woman Caught in Possession of Stolen Goods

NewTuscia – VITERBO – On the afternoon of 27 June in via Garbini, the Carabinieri of the Viterbo Company arrested a sixty-year-old woman from Viterbo, already known to the police, in flagrante delicto for attempted theft. The soldiers of the Operations Section of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit were on patrol in plain clothes when they surprised her at the exit of a shop, in possession of eleven items of clothing that had just been stolen and two scissors deemed useful for separating the latter from their respective anti-shoplifting devices. The stolen goods were seized – together with the scissors – and entrusted to the owners for judicial custody. The woman was restricted to house arrest, available by the competent Judicial Authority of the capital.

This press release is shared with the Viterbo Public Prosecutor’s Office, given the public interest in disseminating the news.
