Arsenal Eyeing PSV’s Johan Bakayoko as Potential Transfer Target

Johan Bakayoko (21) is one of the candidates to replace the suspended Dodi Lukebakio against Ukraine on Wednesday. In the meantime, things are also moving on the transfer market for the PSV player. Arsenal are pulling their sleeves.

At the European Championship, Johan Bakayoko was only allowed to come on as a substitute against Slovakia. However, that does not prevent him from being popular on the transfer market. His name has already been mentioned at Bayern and Liverpool, but Arsenal is currently the most concrete. The English vice-champions are looking for top talent who fit coach Mikel Arteta’s style and Bakayoko has the profile. He could develop himself there in the shadow of the English right winger Bukayo Saka. The Belgian has a similar profile and could succeed Saka in the long term. Of course, there is no agreement yet, but it is a file that can evolve positively. The Red Devils and the Belgian Football Association prefer that transfers are only arranged after the European Championship. PSV’s asking price will also not be small and will certainly amount to 45 million. (jug)
