For good reason, two electrical transformers were the target of arson. As confirmed by the prosecution, the first was in La Tronche, the second in the south of Grenoble. The fire at the Grand Sablon transformer in La Tronche caused an explosion, requiring the evacuation of a local resident.
Nearly 2,000 homes and businesses were deprived of electricity overnight following these actions. Although Enedis worked to restore power as best as possible, dozens of homes remained affected this Thursday morning.
An investigation was opened and entrusted to the SLPJ police officers in Grenoble.
