artistic installations, cockades, banners and choreographies

The Tour de France is getting closer and closer and while waiting for the first stage which will arrive from Florence to Rimini on Saturday 29 June, the Savio Valley is tinged with yellow to festively welcome the passage of the athletes and the thousands of enthusiasts and onlookers who will populate the streets of the affected municipalities. In Bagno di Romagna, already animated by the “Valle Savio Bike Sound” hospitality just below the Passo del Carnaio, the “Il Faro di Corzano” Association has created a large circular installation 6 meters in diameter with colored sawdust, clearly visible from the high, near the athletes’ passage to San Piero in Bagno, where a stylized bike appears and the writing “Bagno di Romagna greets the tour”, as already done on the occasion of the arrival of the Giro d’Italia in 2017 and 2021.

Sarsina and Quarto are colored yellow with various cockades, banners, hats, flags and posters related to cycling tourism, thanks to the coordination of the Municipality and the support of private companies and traders involved in the choral set-up of the Plautine city and Lake Quarto, where the second hospitality “Valle Savio Bike Sound” will be set up, with music, entertainment, food and a big screen.

At Mercato Saraceno, the Municipality is taking steps, through the artist Anton Roca, to design a large yellow bike in the Tigli sports field, at the entrance to Mercato Saraceno: an original way to honor the passage of the Tour and the efforts of the athletes on the very hard Barbotto Pass (where the third “Valle Savio Bike Sound” hospitality will be present). The cameras aimed at the Valle del Savio area will thus be able to spread, in addition to the beauty of the landscapes, also the liveliness and hospitality of the Romagna area.

The 2024 Tour de France will have extensive and detailed coverage on Rai networks. Live broadcasts will begin between 2:00 PM and 2:45 PM, while throughout the evening there will be space for reruns and in-depth analyses, which will certainly be appreciated by fans who have not had the opportunity to follow the stage live. The real-time broadcasts will all be hosted on Rai 2, while Rai Sport will give space to the evening columns. In detail, the generalist channel will begin its afternoon dedicated to the Tour de France with Tour in Diretta, the start time of which will vary, depending on the stages, between 2:00 PM and 2:45 PM (with the exception of the last day). The race finale will be included in Tour all’Arrivo.
