Yellow-green double against the second Nettuno team, 13-1 (7th) and 5-4, thanks to a super performance by the two athletes born in 2004.

Athletics Bologna returned to victory in the home match against the Lions Dolphins Nettuno with a clear superiority in game 1 (13-1) and a comeback in the photo finish in game 2 (5-4). Before the morning match, the two teams respected a minute’s silence in honor of Marco Ubani, former athlete of Nettuno Baseball and the Italian national team, as well as father of the leadoff of the Lions Dolphins team, Federico, to whom the Bolognese club extends its heartfelt condolences.

In the morning match the A’s broke the balance of the match in the second half of the game. Monda Mirco (base ball), Accorsi (double) and Marinelli (base ball) fill the cushions with zero eliminated. Cocchi’s serve is worth the first elimination while Montanari Lorenzo’s double pushes 3 points to home base for the yellow-green advantage.

Del Priore’s next single, however, made Bologna 4-0. The following inning the Acea boys didn’t stop and increased their lead with 2 more scores which set the score at 6 to 0. The guests closed the gap in the 5th inning with Federico Ubani’s single which pushed Ludovisi to home plate Fabio in a moment of decline of the yellow-green starter Nepoti (7rl 2bv 1r 5bb 8k). Closing the match are the 7 points of the 6th Bolognese attack which bring the score to the final 13 to 1 which puts an end to the match in the 7th inning due to clear superiority.

Game 2, the one dedicated to foreign pitchers, sees the guests break the deadlock in the 2nd inning thanks to an error by the yellow-green defense which allows Belardi (baseball) to score the 1-0. The two starting pitchers, Alfonzo Martinez ( Athletics) and Laurencio Vil (Lions Dolphins), limit the opposing attacks and the game remains with the minimum difference until the 6th inning when the yellow-green bats find the countermeasures to the strong opposing pitcher and turn the match around.

The second half opens with a wild Montanari Lorenzo who hits a single and reaches the second on Del Priore’s sacrifice before Monda Manuel’s double which impacts the match at 1 to 1. With a runner on second and one out, Errico’s single is worth the 2 to 1 A’s. The guests do not respond to Bologna’s 2 points and then Acea’s attack extends to 3 to 1 in the 8th inning. Montanari Alessandro reaches second base on a Lazio defensive error, third on a wild pitch and finally scores on the bounce by Monda Mirco.

Thus we arrive at the last restart of the game with Bologna ahead 3 to 1. Giorgi goes up to the Felsineo mountain and after a first quick elimination he accuses a defensive error of his teammates which, in turn, gives the charge to the Neptune team which overturns the ‘match with 3 points that put the guests ahead in the score at 4 to 3. Everything to do again, therefore, for the hosts. The yellow-green bats, however, did not give up and with the hits of Cocchi and Montanari Lorenzo fielded the point of the draw and the possible victory without outs. Del Priore appears in the box and makes a sacrifice bunt on which the guest defense makes an error, allowing both Bolognese runners to reach home plate and score the winning points. The A’s beat the Lions Dolphins 5 to 4.
