An important event this past weekend for the boys of ASD Judo Rieti, the International Green Camp Training Camp, which was held in Riccione from 14 to 18 June, masterfully organized by Elio Verde, former Olympian and judo technician, with around 1300 guests athletes from 15 foreign nations. Among the participants, also world and Olympic medalists, and the Italian national judo team, which will prepare for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Furthermore, the military sports corps of the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza, the Fiamme Azzurre and the Italian Army were also present.
Saturday for the judokas of Rieti the most awaited lesson held by the strongest judoka of all time: Shohei Ono, Japanese national three-time world champion and two-time Olympic champion.
Also present were Sugoi Uriarte, world silver medalist, European champion and coach of the Spanish national team, and Jenny Gal, Dutch naturalized Italian, Olympic bronze medalist, world silver medalist and European gold medalist.
An important experience for the sporting and personal growth of the kids from Rieti who, accompanied by their technical teachers, were able to enthusiastically experience this training opportunity, for some of them the first at a very high level.
