LEONDING. The men of ASKÖ Fairdrive Leonding have now achieved their second victory since their promotion to the Judo State League A. In the match against UJZ Mühlviertel, the tide turned after the break, meaning that Leonding are in third place in the table.
The men from ASKÖ Fairdrive Leonding won sensationally against UJZ Mühlviertel last weekend. This is already the second victory after the “Leofighters” were promoted to the Judo State League A: PSV Salzburg had already been defeated and they suffered a defeat against JU Kirchham 1.
In the exciting match against the Mühlviertel team, a surprising turnaround was achieved: After a narrow 5:6 deficit at halftime, the Leonding judoka turned the score around in the second round to a strong 13:9 and thus prevailed against the second-placed team from the Mühlviertel. This puts ASKÖ Fairdrive Leonding in a strong third place in the table. Unfortunately, things did not go so well for the women from Leonding. They lost narrowly 6:10.
