Assen Circuit Tattoo Capital, Bagnaia Ready to Win Podium at Dutch MotoGP

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Francesco Bagnaia can’t wait to get back to racing. Three weeks off after the Italian MotoGP at Mugello made him want to get back on a motorbike.

As is known, the next series is the Dutch MotoGP at the Assen Circuit. One of Bagnaia’s favorite circuits, where two years previously he won consecutively in 2022 and 2023.

“After Mugello, having three weeks off was very good to rest. I rested a little, but didn’t forget to practice using the Panigale V4S,” said Bagnaia, quoted from GPOne, Thursday (27/6/2024).

Now the Ducati Lenovo racer says he is ready to appear one hundred percent in the Dutch MotoGP.

“Now it’s time to get back to serious business. I love racing at Assen, one of my favorite tracks I even have a tattoo of Assen on my arm,” he said.

Bagnaia said he had a good feeling with his motorbike at the moment. It was proven that in the Spanish MotoGP, Catalunya and Mugello he performed extraordinary.

“In the last two races we worked very well and my feeling with the motorbike was very good. I won two races, three actually if the Mugello Sprint Race is counted,” he said.

“Hopefully the weather will be friendly and allow us to work well and consistently from Friday, but basically I am ready to face this weekend in all conditions,” he said.

Currently Jorge Martin from Pramac Racing leads the standings with 171 points. Followed by Bagnaia from Ducati Lenovo Team in second place with 153 points, and Marc Marquez in third place with 136 points.
