Audrey Cordon-Ragot wins her 7th French time trial champion title

It was the rematch of last year’s duel. This time, it was Audrey Cordon-Ragot (Human Powered Health) who got the better of Cédrine Kerbaol (Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling), winner in 2023, by 54 seconds. A reassuring performance for the Breton, whose selection for the Olympics had sparked some debate.

If Kerbaol was 9 seconds ahead of her competitor at the first intermediate, Cordon-Ragot accelerated to regain almost 40 seconds at the second intermediate, placing her in front with a 30 second margin over her rival. At the third intermediate, Cordon-Ragot was 45 seconds ahead, enough to secure a seventh French time trial champion title.

Marion Borras completes the podium

However, the suspense was complete to know the identity of the runner who would accompany them on the podium, between Maëva Squiban (Arkea-B & B Hotels), Marie Le Net (FDJ-Suez) and Marion Borras (Saint-Michel-Mavic -Auber 93). It was ultimately the latter, a track specialist, who won the bronze medal, 1’34” behind Cordon-Ragot.
