Austria Klagenfurt Signs Naldinho: Following in His Father’s Footsteps

Bundesliga club Austria Klagenfurt announces another new signing: Naldinho will play for the Waidmannsdorfer in the future.

The 18-year-old is the son of Naldo, who caused a sensation as a defender in the German Bundesliga for Werder Bremen, Wolfsburg and Schalke and also played four times for the Brazilian national team.

His son, who was trained at AS Monaco and most recently spent a year at Werder Bremen, is initially scheduled to play for the Carinthian team’s second team.

On Monday afternoon, he was already on the pitch at the start of training under new coach Rolf Landerl. His father Naldo was also there and watched his son’s legs.

The former defender says: “Austria Klagenfurt is a top address in Austrian football and we were particularly impressed by the youth development concept and the promotion of young players. Naldinho was welcomed with open arms and feels very comfortable. That is important for development.”

“Naldinho is a very well-trained, talented boy, physically robust, fast and tricky. We are happy that he is joining us and are firmly convinced that we will have a lot of fun with him at Austria,” said academy director Robert Micheu.
