Badminton Assessment Criteria: Evaluating Skills, Tactics, and Sportsmanship

Assessment Criteria Description Hitting Technique Evaluates the student’s ability to correctly execute the different badminton strokes, such as the drive, drop shot and smash. Playing Tactics Evaluates the student’s ability to make strategic decisions during a badminton match, such as choosing the right shots in different situations. Physical Condition Evaluates the student’s cardiovascular endurance, strength and flexibility, as well as their ability to maintain good performance during a badminton match. Coordination and Precision Evaluates the student’s motor coordination, their ability to move fluidly and accurately on the badminton court, as well as to hit the ball accurately. Sportsmanship Evaluates respect for the rules of the game, respect for teammates and opponents, and the ability to maintain a positive sportsmanlike attitude during the game. Gender Equity Assesses the promotion of equal opportunities and the elimination of gender stereotypes in the learning environment, including the equal participation of all students, regardless of their gender, in badminton activities.
