Badminton School Korea to Host Special One-Day Class with Former National Team Player

Badminton School Korea, the first Asian campus of Badminton School, a prestigious private school in the UK, announced on the 28th that it will hold a ‘special one-day class’ for children with former badminton national team player Lee Yong-dae.

The ‘Special One-Day Class’ will be held a total of four times every Saturday starting July 6th. The first class with Lee Yong-dae will be held at the multi-purpose gymnasium of the International Campus of Yonsei University located in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, and will last for 2 hours, ranging from basic theories such as badminton game rules and posture to various know-how through one-point lessons such as serves, forehand steps, and service returns. It is designed so that children with both beginner and upper-intermediate skills can participate happily.

Badminton School Korea said that they wanted to use this event as an opportunity to introduce the name “Badminton School” to the public and to convey the campus’ unique educational philosophy and bright energy to children through various extracurricular classes with famous players. They also added that they plan to donate all class participation fees.

Recruitment of participants will close on a first-come, first-served basis until the 3rd of next month, and in addition to prospective new students on campus, any child aged 6 to 13 can participate by applying in advance on the official Badminton School Korea website.

Badminton School Korea Principal Denise Chamberlain said, “This special class was designed to communicate with prospective students and their parents, focusing on not only the fun of wordplay, but also the physical development of children, and promoting cooperation and consideration.” She added, “We plan to continue to operate diverse and fun extracurricular programs with the best leaders, so we ask for your interest and participation.”

Meanwhile, Badminton School Korea, which is scheduled to open in August in Eunhaeng-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, will open and operate a school with a total of 12 classes from kindergarten to elementary school with a capacity of 130 students, and plans to gradually expand to a total of 20 classes and a capacity of 250 students in the future. . In addition, starting with the Siheung campus, we plan to expand the campus to Yongin and Busan, and open a middle school curriculum in 2025.
