Departmental championship 29 in Saint-Renan
More than 170 badistas, from around twenty clubs in Finistère, played 300 matches in two sports halls in Saint-Renan, divided into several categories: promotion, departmental, regional and national. In this last category, Thomas Jourdren (ranked no. 254, Nationale 2), licensed at Trégunc Badminton Club, particularly stood out.
“It’s a convincing weekend”
After his last meeting, he declared: “Yesterday I won the men’s singles against Eliott Lieutier, then I came second in the mixed doubles with Cindy Dréo. And, today, we finished second in men’s doubles with David Prigent. That’s three charms and so it’s a convincing weekend.” He added: “Personally, I still have three competitions to do before the end of the season. These will be competitions in men’s doubles and mixed doubles, which will take place in Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan. These will undoubtedly be more difficult matches than this weekend and we will try to play well and perform. And why not bring back a victory?
To achieve this level of performance, Thomas Jourdren admits to doing two badminton training sessions and three crossfit sessions per week.
