Bagnaia sweeps Assen and puts pressure on Martin in MotoGP

The Madrid native finishes second and now only has a ten-point lead over the Italian

The Italian rider Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) has won this Sunday the MotoGP race of the Grand Prix of the Netherlands, the eighth round of the motorcycling World Championship, ahead of the Spanish Jorge Martín (Ducati), who sees his number reduced distance in the general classification on the transalpine.

Marc Márquez managed to finish fourth, but his penalty for incorrect tyre pressure condemned him to tenth place. Viñales, who finished fifth, lost a place for exceeding the track limits, but thanks to the penalty from the rider from Cervera he retained fifth place. Pedro Acosta, who was riding in the points, saw them slip away after crashing on the last lap.

Additionally, Alex Márquez (Ducati) was seventh, just ahead of Raúl Fernández (Aprilia), and Augusto Fernández (KTM) finished fourteenth. Finally, Alex Rins (Yamaha) suffered a fall on the first lap, while Joan Mir (Repsol Honda) was also unable to finish the event.
