The beautiful story continues between Bam Adebayo (26 years old) and the Miami Heat. Drafted in 2017 in 14th place by the Florida franchise, the American interior will continue to defend the colors of his franchise until 2029, announced NBA insider Shams Charania on X.
An indisputable starter since 2019, the three-time All-Star signed a max contract worth $166 million over three years. The interior comes off a string of four seasons where the Heat reached the NBA Finals in 2023, and has just joined the NBA All-Defensive First Team for the first time in his career, rewarding the best defenders in the league.
This extension could lead to another, that of Jimmy Butler, eligible for an extension this season and at the end of his contract at the end of next season.
