Do you have a handle on serve, smash and net play, but lack input to convey the technique to the players? We have the course for you.
Take the basic training in badminton and get ready to lead your own team.
Trainer course 1 is for you who would like more tools for training beginners and experienced players.
On the coaching course, you will be taught technical training, physical-motor training and child development. The course also covers the role of coach and training planning.

Saturday 2 November 2023 at 9:00-20:00
Sunday 3 November 2023 at 9:00-16:00
On the course we work with:
✔ the coaching role – the relationship with the players and the joy of playing badminton
✔ versatile stimulation of the players through play and basic physical-motor training
✔ specific hitting and legwork techniques, as well as development of your own badminton skills
✔ design of technique training exercises with progression
✔ planning a training that has a common thread and is level- and age-appropriate
✔ insight into children’s prerequisites for playing badminton
Coaching Course 1 is part of the Basic Coaching Course. Once you have completed Trainer Course 1, you are ready for Trainer Course 2.
The practical:
- You must be 15 years old to participate in the courses
- The course consists of 18 lessons
- The course takes a weekend to complete
- Coaching course 1 to 3 is part of DGI Badminton and Badminton Denmark’s basic coaching training, which also consists of the assistant coaching training and volunteer badminton coach
Participants from clubs with a club membership with both DGI and Badminton Denmark pay a reduced participation fee. Participants from clubs with one club membership (either with DGI or Badminton Denmark) or without club membership pay the full participation price.
