Belgium Announces 5 More Athletes for Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

A second selection of 5 Belgian athletes for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games was announced on Thursday. Para badminton player Man-Kei To had already been included in Paralympic Team Belgium for Paris.

The 5 new ones selected are in para archery: Piotr Van Montagu, men’s Open compound bow (Standing class) and in para table tennis: Ben Despineux, men’s singles (TT7 class), Laurens Devos, men’s singles (class TT9) & men’s doubles (category MD18), Marc Ledoux, men’s singles (class TT8) & men’s doubles (category MD18) and Florian Van Acker, men’s singles (class TT11) (class TT9) & men’s doubles (category MD18) .

Devos will be aiming for a third consecutive Paralympic title after his gold medals in Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2021. Van Acker won gold in Rio and bronze in Tokyo.

Others selected will be known during the month of July, said the Belgian Paralympic Committee.
