Bezzecchi and Diggia look forward to the challenge at the Dutch MotoGP

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Two Pertamina Enduro VR46 racers Marco Bezzecchi and Fabio Di Giannantonio are looking forward to the challenges that will be presented in the eighth round of MotoGP 2024 which will take place at the TT Assen Circuit, Netherlands, this weekend.

Bezzecchi, who last year claimed pole position, a Sprint win and a podium in the main race, said he was determined to close the gap on the strong riders ahead of him.

He is currently ranked 11th in the standings with 45 points. The Italian racer admitted that he couldn’t wait to race his motorbike on a track that was very special to him.

“Assen is one of my favorite tracks, one of the tracks where I have always been very fast and where I won my first top class podium in 2022,” said Bezzecchi, quoted from VR46’s official statement, Thursday.

“Going fast here is a blast and I can’t wait to start the engine!” he added.

Meanwhile, Di Giannantonio is now in ninth place in the standings with 74 points.

The racer who is familiarly called Diggia was quite consistent in the first half of this season, reaching the top 10 positions seven times in a row.

“I trained a lot to prepare for this important race, also because Assen is a very beautiful track, but also very challenging,” said Diggia.

“I’ve always been quite fast here, I can’t wait to get back to working with my friends and scoring good results,” he added.

Meanwhile, the first day of the Dutch MotoGP, Friday (28/6) was filled with FP1 and practice which started at 15.45 WIB and 20.00 WIB respectively.

Furthermore, on Saturday (29/6), FP2 starts at 15.00 WIB, the qualifying session at 15.50 WIB, and Sprint at 20.00 WIB.

The main race will be held on Sunday (30/6) at 19.00 WIB.
