“Demajeo is a versatile, athletic big who can score and pass in the low post and from the pick and roll. His mobility and speed allow him to play with the right intensity. No less important is that he is a very active rebounder on both ends of the court,” says BG coach Olivier Foucart about Wiggins, adding: “Demajeo wants to win, develop every day and will approach every game with energy. He is looking forward to playing in front of our fans and we look forward to working with him.”

Wiggins almost won the double with Olaj. Szolnoki eventually made it to the playoff finals in the championship, but lost to KC Szombathely in four games. The 26-year-old played 30 games for the Hungarians last season. He averaged around 25 minutes of playing time, scored 14.1 points and grabbed 6.9 rebounds.

BG Göttingen: Demajeo Wiggins grew up in Ohio

After his college days, he played one season in the NBA G League for the Greensboro Swarm, the farm team of the Charlotte Hornets. A move to the German second division team Phönix Hagen failed in the following season due to the tightened Corona entry regulations. So the center only moved to Europe in the 2021/22 season. He played seven games for Olomoucko Prostejov before moving from the Czech Republic to Rapla BS in Estonia.

In the Latvian-Estonian basketball league, Wiggins wore the Rapla jersey 23 times (31 minutes of playing time/15.9 points/10.6 rebounds). In the summer of 2022, Wiggins then moved on to BC Rilski Sportist from Samokov. With the Bulgarian first division team, he qualified for the Fiba Europe Cup. In this competition, he averaged five games and 24 minutes of playing time (12.0 points, 6.8 rebounds).

Demajeo Wiggins also wins the cup in Bulgaria

The basketball pro played 38 times in the national league (26 minutes of playing time/15.2 points/7.6 rebounds) and won the Bulgarian Cup. He then moved on to Hungary and, after one season there, he is now moving on to the Violets.
