[South American Chinese News Network]The badminton invitational tournament held by the Nippon Club in Sao Paulo, Brazil, came to a successful conclusion from June 8 to 9. More than 580 badminton enthusiasts from Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Thailand and other countries gathered together to sweat and learn from each other. The Brazilian Chinese Badminton Association sent 48 athletes to participate in the competition. After two days of fierce competition, they won 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 8 bronze medals, showing superb skills and good competitive level.

This competition is the first time that the Brazilian Chinese Badminton Association has participated in the competition in the name of the association, which is of great significance. Xu Minglin, president of the association, said after the game that this competition not only provides a platform for association members to showcase themselves, but also enhances the friendship between the peoples of China and Brazil.

In the competition, Chinese athletes fought hard and showed good teamwork and spirit. Xu Minglin and Chen Pan won the men’s doubles group A championship, Zheng Shoujing and A Dan won the women’s doubles group C championship, Chen Pan and Zhang Dongshan won the mixed doubles group B championship, Julia Ryunhee Bae won the women’s singles group A championship, and Gao Wenteng won the men’s singles professional group C championship, winning honor for the association.

In addition, many athletes won the second and third place, including Xu Minglin and Sung Joon Mo, the runner-up of men’s doubles professional group B, Chen Pan and Ye Shengteng, the runner-up of men’s doubles professional group C, and Jin Jincheng and Jin Hongguo, the runner-up of men’s doubles group B.

Xu Minglin, president of the Brazilian Chinese Badminton Association, said that the association will continue to work hard to provide better training conditions and competition opportunities for members, to help them improve their competitive level and achieve better results.
