California Team Selects Quebec Native Massé as Third Round Pick

The Californian team made Massé their third round choice, 66th overall. He is the first pick of the third round.

The 6-foot-2, 192-pound right winger was ranked No. 30 among North American skaters on the NHL’s scouting support list.

The Rimouski native finished first in points for the Chicoutimi Saguenéens last season, with 75 points in 66 games.

In Anaheim, Massé will join several other Quebec hopefuls, such as Tristan Luneau, Nathan Gaucher, Noah Warren and Tyson Hinds.

He is the first ex-Albatross to be drafted in the Bettman circuit since Zachary Émond in 2018.

In the history of the Birds, Massé now ranks third among the earliest selections in the NHL, after Pierre-Luc Dubois (3rd, 2016) and Alexandre Mallet (57th, 2012).
