Capital International Basketball Tournament Draws Players from Across Canada and France

The 2nd edition of the Capital International Basketball Tournament is in full swing this weekend at PEPS at Laval University. A total of 32 teams of players aged between 12 and 15 are in action at the home of the Rouge et Or.

In addition to the teams from Quebec, there are teams from Ontario and Nova Scotia. For the second year, we also notice a team from the Paris region. The JSF Nanterre d’Ennery team operates in one of France’s training centers. This same center welcomed Victor Wembanyama in his early days. The latter was the first player selected in the last NBA draft.

A three-point shooting contest took place Friday evening and the six finals will take place on Sunday. Some players from the Montreal Tundra of the Basketball Super League are present, notably former Rouge et Or winger Marc-André Fortin.
