Celebrating Success: The Twenty-Sixth Edition of the Judo Festival at the Municipal Pavilion of Teguise

  • Spectacular morning this Saturday at the Municipal Pavilion of La Villa de Teguise with the traditional season closing of the Costa Teguise Lanzarote Judo Club (CJCT) with the twenty-sixth edition of the Judo Festival “Marquis of Herrera”.

    Parents, mothers, guardians, approximately one hundred and fifty judokas and coaches have enjoyed an event full of emotions and spectacle in which the traditional parade of all the club’s categories has taken place with the usual family photo. Likewise, the corresponding recognitions have been given, new belts and diplomas in addition to various exhibitions that, throughout the festival, have provoked applause from a packed stand.

    The event was attended by Deputy Mayor of the Teguise City CouncilRita Hernández, who, accompanied by councillors Ginés González, Carlos Cejudo and Alejandro Ramírez, were in charge of presenting the medals to the proud and smiling judokas.

    The team manager, Antonio Ramírez, wants to “thank all the people who have contributed to making the Costa Teguise Lanzarote Judo Club season wonderful at all levels. Thank you for attending and participating in this traditional and spectacular “Marqués de Herrera” Judo Festival. Undoubtedly thanks to the More than one hundred and fifty judokas who have come to close the season with us and I want to send the most affectionate memories to all those who could not be at the event today. Closing of an unforgettable season for the Teguise club, now it’s time to rest to return stronger and more excited for the next season of the Costa Teguise Judo Club,” concludes Antonio Ramírez.
