Club Brugge Extends Contract of Young Talent Jakke Van Britsom Until 2027

Strong news from Jan Breydel. The contract of a young player has been extended until June 2027. And so Club Brugge also shows that they believe in a future for the youth in the coming years.

A few years ago, Jakke Van Britsom was known as a great talent for RSC Anderlecht, but in the summer of 2022 he left the purple and white U16s for an adventure with the youth of Club Brugge.

And so the question was what would happen to him afterwards. Two years later, they remain impressed with him at Blue and Black and so they wanted to tie him to the club for a few extra years.

The 18-year-old Belgian played for the U18 team of blue-black last season and signed a new contract that will keep him at Jan Breydel until June 2027. And so he can continue working on his future at Club Brugge.

Three more years at Club Brugge

There is a lot of belief in him within the blue-black boards and it therefore seems that steps can be taken quickly. Or will that bring him to Club NXT next season? That’s quite a different story.

Anderlecht also believed in the youngster in the past, but lost him to Club Brugge. The road to the Jupiler Pro League is still long, but we wish Jakke Van Britsom the best of luck.
