Club Brugge Makes Coaching Changes: Siebe Blondelle Takes Over U18 Team

Club Brugge chose to keep Nicky Hayen as T1 of the first team. And so there are also noticeable shifts elsewhere in the club. The U18s have also now found a new coach and it is one we still know well.

“Siebe Blondelle will be the coach of our U18 this season!”, Club Brugge announced via social media. In this way they have found their new coach for the U18. The ex-professional footballer comes over from SK Deinze.

“Siebe Blondelle, a native of Bruges and former youth player of Club Brugge, was particularly successful as a professional football player at SK Beveren (then Waasland-Beveren) and KAS Eupen. He later ended his playing career at KMSK Deinze.”

“Deinze, where he subsequently managed to secure a position as assistant coach. Now Siebe is making the transition to the old nest and he will prepare the youngsters of the U18 for the next steps up,” Club Brugge said in a press release.

The exodus at Deinze continues

“He will be assisted by brand new T2 Kevin Deslypere. Kevin trained the U21 of KMSK Deinze and the first team KSV Oostkamp last season.” We would like to wish Blondelle and Deslypere every success in their new assignment.

The exodus at Deinze will continue. In addition to T1 Hans Somers and T2 Hans Visser, T3 Siebe Blondelle has now also decided to look for other places. The 38-year-old former central defender was a player at KMSK Deinze for four years and also played for VVV Venlo, Vitesse, Rot Weiss Ahlne, FCV Dender, Waasland-Beveren and KAS Eupen.
